-Looking to Join the Metro Umpire Crew?
|
Becoming a Metro Umpire is an exciting and rewarding way to get
active in
the Omaha community while also earning some extra income. Our umpires are trained using
the Sporting News Major League Rules. NCAA, High School Federation, Legion, Pony, USSSA,
and Little League rules are all discussed in our clinics. We provide umpire clinics
every Sunday afternoon from January through April.
A Metro Umpire is trained on public relations and customer service as well as game
administration and rulebooks. We recruit and train umpires all year long. We expect
to work with over three hundred umpires in 2014, who will be working to fill the thousands of games we handle each year. With our new assignment system, our umpires each get their
own private web site where they can chat with other umpires, view their scheduled games and
partner information at any time, and even pick their own games! Call us
